1. These rules and policies apply to ALL members.
2. Group events on a Club boat are considered as joint charters of all members participating. All members must conform to all Club rules and policies during these events.
3. SAILING PERIODS AND CHECK IN PROCEDURE: Periods are: Morning = dawn until 12:30; Afternoon = 12:30 until 5:30 pm; Evening = 5:30 pm until 3 am. Holidays are billed at weekend rates. Check-in calls must be made within two hours after scheduled return. IF YOU FAIL TO CHECK IN YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA PERIOD. You may call 1-800-468-4440 from any pay phone, no coin necessary.
4. OTHER CHARGES: The following charges are added to each charter:.
A. 10% service charge will be added to each charter.
B. Applicable sales tax will be added to each charter.
C. $25 per 24 hours of use or fraction thereof will be added to each charter to reduce the members insurance damage deductable to $300 per incident. (See #11 for a complete explanation.)
5. FUEL: Fuel is included in daily rates. Fuel used is charged on weekly rates.
6. EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Each boat is equiped differently. A call to the office will usually yeild the details.
A. Boats are equipped with 6 adult life vests. Please bring one for each additional person and all Children.
B. The boat will have an adequate fuel supply when you board.
C. Always fill the water tanks if you plan to use water.
D. Cooking and dining supplies and equipment vary so call the office for information.
7. CANCELLATIONS: 50% of the charter fee will be charged for cancellations that do not conform to the following:
A. NON HOLIDAY PERIODS -- Monday thru Friday, single day reservations may be cancelled anytime prior to sail. Saturday and Sunday reservations must be cancelled before Friday.
B. HOLIDAY PERIODS -- Single day reservations must be cancelled before the last Club office work day prior to the holiday period.
C. MULTIPLE DAY PERIODS -- Reservations must be cancelled two weeks prior to sail.
D. SPECIAL MULTIPLE DAY GROUP SAILS -- must be cancelled two weeks prior to the date of sail. A deposit will be required to reserve space on these trips.
E. CANCELLATION CHARGES WILL NOT BE ASSESSED -- (1) If the boat can be rebooked for the cancelled period OR (2) for single day reservations; rain, fog, or high wind conditions provided cancellation is made at the dock, at the time of your sail. NO WIND CONDITIONS ARE NOT A REASON FOR CANCELLATION.
8. NO PETS PLEASE!
9. PLEASE CLEAN THE BOAT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. A cleaning charge of $25 per hour will be charged if the boat is left unclean. If you find the boat unclean from a previous use, and you return the boat clean, mention this on your check-in call and your bill will be reduced by $25. $25 will be added to the charge for the previous user.
10. NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ARE PERMITTED ON CLUB BOATS!
Club members are responsible for their conduct and that of their guests. If any law enforcement agency finds illegal substances on a Club boat which results in the seizure of the vessel, the Club member will be responsible for all expenses incured, including lost income to the boat while not available for charter. In addition, the member will be asked to leave the Club, with no recourse!
11. DEDUCTABLE POOL COVERAGE: $25 per 24 hours of use or fraction thereof will be added to each charter to reduce the members insurance damage deductable to $300 per incident. The Club requires no damage deposits. (Commercial charter operations normally require a $1000 to $2000 damage deposit).
A. The Deductable Pool is in effect for losses except as excluded herein.
B. The Deductable Pool reduces the members liability to $300 per covered loss.
C. The following are considered covered losses per incident:
1) Repair to boat, hull, engine, rigging or equipment from damage caused by a member or their guests. 2). Repair to Sail (each sail is considered a separate loss).
3). Repair to the property of others.-
4). Liability claims (per claim)
E. The following are not covered by the Deductable Pool.
1). Dinghy's and dinghy engines are not covered by the Deductable Pool. The member is responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
2). Any loss resulting from fraudulent or illegal use of the boat or its equipment.
3). Boat owners when using their own boats on non club related activities.
4). Charters to non club members.
5). Towing charges resulting from grounding or fouling anchor lines. Towing for mechanical failure is paid by the owner.
