The Sailing Charter Club offers the
following membership options: BOAT OWNER
MEMBERSHIP:
Boat Owners who make their boat available for
charter to qualified Club members have all
privileges of regular membership but pay no
initiation fee or annual dues. They receive 70% of
the charter rate for their boat as printed on the
boat list. A photograph of the boat must accompany
this application. REGULAR
MEMBERSHIP- ADVANCE PAYMENT:
Regular resident
membership includes unlimited charter of Club
boats, Club social functions and group sails. If
paid in advance, the first year's total is $300
plus 7% tax. REGULAR
MEMBERSHIP-
INSTALLMENT
PLAN: Regular
resident membership includes unlimited charter of
Club boats, Club social functions and group sails.
If paid by the installment plan, you may submit $55
plus 7% tax with your application and pay $55 plus
7% tax on the first of each of the next 5 months
for a total first year cost of $330 plus tax. A
charge card must be used for the monthly
installments. Under this plan you may drop out of
the Club anytime during the installment period with
no financial obligation beyond the payments already
made. OUT OF
STATE MEMBERSHIP: Has
been established for those who live less than six
months of the year in Florida. All of the regular
membership privileges are extended to Out of State
Members. The one time initiation fee is $75 and
annual dues are $125, plus 7% tax. SOCIAL
MEMBERSHIP:
Social membership entitles the member to attend
Club social functions and group sails. The annual
fee is $120 per year, plus 7% sales tax. (This fee
may be applied prorata toward regular membership
anytime during the year). INSTRUCTION:
Individual instruction is offered to
all Regular Club Members at no additional cost other than
the charter of the boat each time they go out. American
Sailing Association certification is offered to Regular Club
Members at the nominal cost of $100 for both of the first
two levels (Basic Keelboat and Basic Coastal Cruising) and
$100 for each higher level.
